The NEPA Learning Conference is back for a fifth year and bigger than ever. The Learning Conference provides a venue for nonprofit professionals, volunteers, and board members to understand what it means to be an introspective, learning organization.There are opportunities to learn from national thought leaders, network and connect with peers, and discover how we can create a learning culture within our organizations.
Over 250 representatives from nonprofit organizations across Northeastern Pennsylvania attended the 2023 NEPA Learning Conference. The Scranton Area Community Foundation is excited to bring back the NEPA Learning Conference in a new and impactful way September 17-19, 2025.
About the Organizer
Serving the community for 70 years, the Scranton Area Community Foundation is a philanthropic partner, steward, grantmaker, and community catalyst on a mission to enhance the quality of life for all people in the Lackawanna County region through the development of organized philanthropy. The Scranton Area Community Foundation provides funding to help nonprofit organizations manage projects and programs that enhance the quality of life throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.
In 2012, the Scranton Area Community Foundation established the Center for Community Leadership and Nonprofit Excellence after realizing that in addition to providing funding, they could help maximize nonprofit organizations’ ability to meet their critical missions by providing access to programs, training, and technical assistance. Through the Center for Community Leadership and Nonprofit Excellence, the Scranton Area Community Foundation invests in the education and upkeep of local nonprofit organizations helping to improve their effectiveness and broaden their impact throughout the region.
The Scranton Area Community Foundation is incredibly grateful for support from Moses Taylor Foundation and additional partnerships and sponsorships that help make the NEPA Learning Conference possible and is proud to create capacity-building opportunities for nonprofit partners across the region.
