The Most Important and Rewarding Experience for
Nonprofit Success

The NEPA Learning Conference is back for it’s fourth year and bigger than ever. The NEPA Learning Conference was last held in August 2021. During the 2021 NEPA Learning Conference, attendees learned from local and national experts in a variety of fields, networked with peers, and discovered how they could create a learning culture within their organization. The conference shared strategies for adapting to a post-pandemic world, taught the importance of collaborative learning, and also touched on important and relevant topics including racial equity, innovation, and donor relations. Nearly 200 representatives from nonprofit organizations across Northeastern Pennsylvania attended the 2021 NEPA Learning Conference. The Scranton Area Community Foundation is excited to bring back the NEPA Learning Conference in September 2023.

About the Organizer

Serving the community for 67 years, the Scranton Area Community Foundation is a philanthropic partner, steward, grantmaker, and community catalyst on a mission to enhance the quality of life for all people in the Lackawanna County region through the development of organized philanthropy. The Scranton Area Community Foundation provides funding to help nonprofit organizations manage projects and programs that enhance the quality of life throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

In 2012, the Scranton Area Community Foundation established the Center for Community Leadership and Nonprofit Excellence after realizing that in addition to providing funding, they could help maximize nonprofit organizations’ ability to meet their critical missions by providing access to programs, training, and technical assistance. Through the Center for Community Leadership and Nonprofit Excellence, the Scranton Area Community Foundation invests in the education and upkeep of local nonprofit organizations helping to improve their effectiveness and broaden their impact throughout the region.

The Scranton Area Community Foundation is incredibly grateful for support from Moses Taylor Foundation and additional partnerships and sponsorships that help make the NEPA Learning Conference possible and is proud to create capacity-building opportunities for nonprofit partners across the region.
